The Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator designs, implements, and operates an organization’s identity and access management systems using Azure AD. They manage tasks such as providing secure authentication and authorization access to enterprise applications. The administrator provides seamless experiences and self-service management capabilities for all users, applications and devices. Adaptive access and governance are core elements to the role, as is troubleshooting, monitoring, and reporting.
This role manages strategic identity projects such as modernizing identity solutions and connecting identity signals with SIEM or threat protection solutions. In many organizations the identity team can also implement and manage hybrid identity solutions to bridge on-premises and cloud identity solutions.
